Spring: Mild, often wet but blooming—ideal for quieter sightseeing and countryside walks. Visitor numbers rise slowly; expect farmers’ markets, Easter events and nearby estate/garden tours opening in the warmer months. Summer: Warmest and sunniest; the peak tourist season. Streets and antique shops are busiest and local summer festivals, open-air events and garden visits run at full tilt—book accommodation in advance. Autumn: Crisp, pleasant days and colourful countryside—an excellent off-peak time for walking, photography and harvest/food markets. Fewer crowds makes pubs and galleries more relaxed. Winter: Cold and occasionally wet; the quietest time outside of the festive weeks. Tetbury’s Christmas lights, seasonal fayres and cosy pubs make it atmospheric, but some attractions have reduced hours.
