Nov–Feb (cool, dry): Best beach weather — sunny days, lower humidity, pleasant evenings. This is peak season: higher prices and crowds. Events: Loy Krathong (Nov), Christmas/New Year, Chinese New Year. Mar–Apr (hot, dry): Very hot and humid with strong sun; still dry and busy, especially around Songkran (mid‑April). Good for sunseekers but plan for heat and crowds. May–Oct (monsoon): Southwest monsoon brings frequent heavy showers, rough seas, and occasional beach closures. This is off‑peak: fewer tourists, much lower rates, and lively green landscapes. Some events include the Phuket Vegetarian Festival (typically Sept/Oct, lunar calendar). Diving and boat trips may be limited. Shoulder months (May and Oct) can offer a compromise: sporadic rains but fewer people and better deals.
