Dry season (Nov–Mar): Best beach weather—sunny, low humidity, calm seas and excellent snorkeling/diving. Peak crowds and prices around December–January and during Tet (Lunar New Year). Shoulder months (Apr & early Nov): Warmer and more humid with occasional showers but far fewer tourists and better rates; April is hot, early November still pleasant as the rains haven’t fully set in. Good compromise for lower crowds. Wet season (May–Oct): Frequent heavy showers, rough seas and reduced visibility for diving; September–October are the rainiest and risk storm disruptions, including ferry cancellations. This is low season—many resorts offer steep discounts and the island is quieter. Events: Tet is the biggest local festival; Christmas/New Year bring international visitors. Night markets and local festivals run intermittently year‑round.
