Dec–Apr (northeast monsoon): warm, sunny, calm seas and excellent underwater visibility—ideal for snorkeling, diving and lounging. This is peak season (esp. Dec–Feb), with higher rates and busy holidays around Christmas/New Year. Mar–Apr & Oct–Nov (shoulder months): transitional weather—still plenty of sun but occasional showers. Fewer crowds and better deals than peak season; good compromise for stable conditions and lower prices. May–Nov (southwest monsoon): wetter, windier conditions with more frequent heavy showers and choppier seas. Off-peak for general tourism, so resorts offer lower rates and promotions. The season brings larger swells—best for surfing (May–Sept). Note national religious holidays (Ramadan/Eid) shift yearly and can affect dining/service schedules across resorts.
