Spring (Mar–May): Mild and breezy, ideal for cliff and beach walks with fewer crowds. Shoulder-season — quieter than summer but busier at Easter and bank holidays. Summer (Jun–Aug): Warmest and sunniest, beaches and cafés are busy — peak season. Major draws include the Dickens-themed celebrations in early summer and Broadstairs Folk Week and regatta in August. Autumn (Sep–Nov): Cooling temperatures, crisp air and excellent coastal storm-watching. Off-peak — quieter streets, easier parking and lower accommodation rates; good for photography and long walks. Winter (Dec–Feb): Cold, windy and often dramatic seas. Quietest time to visit — some attractions run reduced hours, but you’ll find cosy pubs, festive markets nearby and peaceful low-season calm.
